Winfred Harrison Riggs

Winfred “Nick” Harrison Riggs, 71, of Petersburg, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Harrison E. and Lillian Wyatt Riggs. Nick was a former member of Ivey Memorial Methodist Church in Colonial Heights. He retired from Phillip Morris and Petersburg Builders Supply. Nick is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ann Riggs; daughters, Teresa Riggs Wallace and husband Bryan and Jennifer Riggs Crist and husband Andrew; six grandchildren, Chelsea, Blake, Camille, Crystal, Guss and Alli; three great-grandchildren, Colten, Miranda and Mason; one sister, Dianna Riggs; two brothers, Charles Riggs and wife Janet and Ronnie Riggs; father-in-law, Mac McClurg; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins; and special canine companions, Bubba, CoCoa, Ming, Lu and Yoshi. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, in Southlawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. David Teschner, officiating.
