Willie Mercer Sluka

Willie Mercer Sluka, 90, of Prince George, died Saturday, January 10, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents Harvie Lee and Mary Lloyd Walker Mercer and her husband Paul Sluka. She was a retired school teacher from Prince George County after 30 years of service. Willie was a longtime member of West End Baptist Church since 1946. She is survived by her daughter, Susan S. Wilson and husband, Rev. Timothy Wilson; sister, Eleanor Cline; granddaughter, Heather R. Wilson; great-granddaughter, Kylie R. Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, January 16, 2015 at West End Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West End Baptist Church, 6506 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, VA 23803.
