William "Ronnie" Ronald Johnson

August 17, 1948 — September 8, 2013

William “Ronnie” Ronald Johnson, 65, of Petersburg, passed away on September 8, 2013. Born in Charlotte, NC he was the son of the late William E. and Nellie Baker Johnson; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Susan S. Johnson; and his brother, Linwood Frank Johnson. Mr. Johnson retired from the United States Postal Service in 2004 after 35 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and was also a member of Blandford Masonic Lodge #3 A.F.&A.M.. He loved working with wood and geo-caching with his friends. Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Bonnie J. Primm and husband, Matthew of Pensacola, FL; his son, Robert E. Johnson of Petersburg; two grandsons, Fletcher M. and Hayden W. Primm of Pensacola, FL; his sister, Peggy J. Michener and husband, Curt of Harleysville, PA; one sister-in-law, Sue Johnson Winfield of Prince George; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
