William Edward Parsley, Jr.

William "Bill" Edward Parsley, Jr., 72, of Chester, VA, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones on December 11, 2025. Bill was born January 18, 1953, in Richmond, VA, to the late William E. Parsley, Sr. and Doris T. Parsley. Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Brenda Bowen Parsley; son, Michael Parsley (Erin); daughters, Amanda Lafoon (Richard) and Carol Martin; grandchildren, Christina, Christian, Bradyn, Aiden, Brooklyne, and Weston; great-grandchildren, Katie, Cecil, Alejandro, and Rose; brother, David Parsley (Nita); as well as, several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy, Linda, and Ann; and his brother, Sonny. He was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, papa, brother, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He retired from C. W. Wright in 2020, as a heavy equipment operator. Bill enjoyed spending free time with family and friends. His hobbies included hanging out at the drag strip with friends and attending all the grandkid's activities, from the football field to the softball field, basketball court, school functions, and everything in between. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the funeral home.
