Willard Lionel Lesley

Willard L. Lesley, 88, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on April 20, 2026. Born in Grant, Michigan, he was the son of the late Irvin and Goldie Lesley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Gladys F. Lesley.

Willard is survived by his step-sons, Ronald Faris (Gretchen) and Wendell Faris (Susan); step-daughter, Faith Gable; grandson, Ethan Gable; sister, Sharon Joan Lesley; brother, John Lee Lesley (Alma); and numerous extended family and friends.

A lover of bluegrass music, Willard frequently attended the weekly local Bluegrass Jams. He was a devoted member of his church, Abundant Life Pentecostal Church, and enjoyed electronics and cars.

A funeral service will be held Friday, April 24, 2026 at 1:30pm at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 West Broadway Avenue, Hopewell, VA. Interment will follow at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
