Wiley Thomas Card, 89, of Prince George, VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of the family he cherished so deeply. Born in Wylliesburg, he was the beloved son of the late Frank Card and Lula Florence White Card.

Wiley shared 61 devoted years of marriage with the love of his life, Juanita Ivey Card. Together, they built a family grounded in love, loyalty, and kindness. He leaves behind his daughter, Teresa Daniel (Sye) of Prince George; his son, Ronnie Card (Annette) of Drakes Branch; grandson, Brien Gottschalk (Meaghan); granddaughter, Jessica Daniel; grandson, Jack Daniel; granddaughter, Breanna Card; great-granddaughter, Rebecca Parrish; great-grandson, Leland Holland; brother, Alfred Card; sister, Lona Meade; and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever treasure his memory.

In addition to his parents, Wiley was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Trevor Card, as well as three sisters and two brothers.

Wiley retired from JCPenney, where he faithfully served as manager of the receiving department for many years. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and he often shared stories from his time in service with pride, humor, and humility. Those memories reflected his deep sense of duty and strength of character.

More than any title or accomplishment, Wiley will be remembered for the extraordinary love he gave to his family and friends. He was the kind of man who never hesitated to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or open his heart to others. Wiley never met a stranger; his warm smile, gentle spirit, and welcoming nature made everyone around him feel like family. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and unwavering support to those fortunate enough to know him.

A funeral service honoring Wiley's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Merchants Hope Episcopal Church, 11500 Merchant's Hope Road, North Prince George, VA 23860. Interment will follow at Merchant's Hope Memorial Gardens.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, Wiley's legacy of love, generosity, and devotion will continue to live on through the family and friends who loved him dearly.
