Wilbert Wilson Story

Wilbert Wilson Story, 89, of Hopewell passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. He was the son of the late George and Laura Story and was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Frances June Story; his grandson, Timothy A. Story; two brothers and four sisters. Mr. Story retired from Continental Can (Stone Container) after 36 years of service and was a dedicated member of Cawson Street Church of Christ in Hopewell, Va. for 56 years. Wilson is survived by his four sons, Howard W. Story (Bertha), Larry C. Story (Brenda), Michael W. Story (Karen) and Stanley L. Story (Anita); sister and brother-in-law, Robert and Louise Burkey; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Cawson Street Church of Christ, 310 N. 3rd Street, Hopewell, Va. 23860. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
