Wanda Elizabeth Broce Glovier passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2012. Wanda was born on June 13, 1923, in Bristol, TN, the daughter of Joseph Ray Broce and Callie E. Phillips Broce. Wanda, a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church, was an active member of the UMW Francis Allen Circle, and was their Special Recognition recipient in 1988. Wanda enjoyed quilting, baking, traveling and being with family and friends. Wanda was predeceased by her sisters, Helen B. Johnson, and Roberta B. Garruto; brothers Arman Broce, and Joseph W. Broce; and her daughter, Martha Christine â??Chrisâ? Glovier Clark. Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Nelson Glovier, to whom she had been married to for 65 years; sisters, Eleanor B. Mays, Carolyn B. Baldwin; brother, Jimmy R. Broce; daughters, Carol G. Bishton and husband, F. Keith, Sandra E. Glovier, Jeannette G. Pugh and husband, L. Paul, Rebecca G. Cosby and husband, Clarence D. Jr.; grandsons, C. Scott Pugh and wife, Gianna D., and F. Todd Bishton; and granddaughter, Meghan L. Pugh. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Wesley United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Merchantâ??s Hope Memorial Gardens.
