Wallace Monroe Shanks, Sr.

Wallace Monroe Shanks, Sr., 76, of Prince George, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior Ellis and Hazel Jarvis Shanks; a brother, Richard Shanks; and a sister, Mary Rivera. He is survived by his wife, Leah Shanks; children, Wally Shanks (Michelle), Gene Shanks (Kim), Laura Atkins (Ricky), and DJ Shanks; grandchildren, Ashton, Owen, and Gaven; one great-grandchild, Easton Beau; brothers, Wayne Shanks and Charles Shanks; a sister, Patricia Windham; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 2pm, at the funeral home, with interment to follow in Blandford Cemetery.
