Peacefully at home, surrounded by family, Virginia A. Goodrich; loving and devoted wife and mother, beloved "Nan" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and friend to all whose lives she touched; was called home on October 13, 2025.
There to meet her are her parents, Elma and Grover Archer; siblings, Myrtle, Grover, and Garland; her husband, Bobby Goodrich; son, Robbie Goodrich; and grandson, Jason Williams. Left to carry on her traditions are her daughters, Paula Williams, Wanda Noland, and Susan Jennings. Her legacy will continue through her five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Virginia was a dedicated mother and Christian, and one of the strongest women you'd ever have the pleasure of meeting. She dedicated much of her time to her community and her faith. Until her health made it impossible, she also enjoyed traveling, bowling, and dancing.
She will be remembered for her warm smile, her resilience, her kindness, and her generosity. Virginia made a lasting impact on everyone she met and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and colleagues.
A visitation will be held at 10:00AM, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held following the visitation, at 11:00AM, at Blandford Cemetery, in Petersburg.
