Virginia Hemphill Darling, 97, of Hopewell, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2008. She was the widow of Robert B. Darling. She is survived by her sons, Robert B. Darling, Jr. and William Stuart Darling; four grandchildren Robert B. Darling, III, Katherine D. Jones, James C. Darling, Elizabeth A. Darling and three great grandchildren, Ashley Darling, Logan Darling, and Justin Conway. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 502 West Broadway, Hopewell, VA 23860. Condolences may be registered at
