Vernelle Ward

Vernelle Minson Ward, age 92, of Chester, VA, died on Monday, July 23, 2007. She was the daughter of the late James E. and Katherine Rogers Minson, and was born in Richmond, VA. Vernelle was the co owner and operator of Wards Family Restaurant in Chester, for 26 years. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Aubrey P. Ward, Sr.; two sons, Aubrey P. Ward, Jr., and wife Patricia of Columbia, MD, and James E. Ward, Sr, and wife Karen of Richmond; three grandchildren, James E. Ward, Jr., Corrie E. Hoyle, and husband Jamin, and Patrick B. Ward; and two great-grandchildren, Noah P. Hoyle and Lily G. Hoyle. A private ceremony will be held in her honor at a later date. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com
