Verna Jean Bradley

Verna Jean Bradley, 89, was born to the late Augustus and Pearl Taylor, in Hix, WV. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, William "Bill" Bradley; her son, Tommy Puckett; and her great-granddaughter, Hannah Green.

She went to the Chester YMCA every day after it opened in 1986, until she got sick. She loved to travel around the country, visiting beaches and enjoying the sun and sea. She was a devoted member of Gateway Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all her heart.

She is survived by her children, Kay Wood (Phillip), Bobbie Green (Ron), David Puckett, and Sue Laboissiere (Jay); her grandchildren, William, Daniel, Sarah, Travis, Crystal, and Candice; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; her siblings, Glen Taylor and Robert "Toby" Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, from 6 PM to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the same location, at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
