Thomas M. Strickland, Jr.

November 26, 1953 — October 16, 2025

Thomas M. "Mack" Strickland, Jr., of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on October 16, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born and raised in Chester, he was the son of the late Thomas Strickland, Sr. and Florine Strickland. He was a loving husband of 38 years to Janice Strickland and "father" to his beloved dog, Amber. Mack also had two brothers, Barry (Debbie) and Van (Roxanne) and seven nieces and nephews. He had a passion for many things: collecting beer cans, playing poker with the guys, bass fishing tournaments, and VCU basketball. Mack retired in 2024 after a 45-year career as a REALTOR and real estate appraiser in both VA and NC. He was a member of NAR, VAR, SVAR, and RVLG, as well as a long-time member of the Tri-Cities Habitat for Humanity. Over his career, Mack was most proud of the work he did to promote fair appraisal practices for all and his unwavering commitment to home ownership and private property rights through his contributions to RPAC.
