Thomas Alonzo Grigg

May 5, 1924 — June 13, 2013

Thomas Alonzo Grigg, 89, of Colonial Heights, died Thursday, June 13, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife Ivey Hogwood Grigg, parents William A. and Lois Jackson Grigg and a brother John L. Grigg. He served his country proudly in the Army during World War II and retired from Allied Chemical (Honeywell) after 33 years of service; along with owning and operating several service stations. Thomas loved being outdoors which included, hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. He is survived by a daughter, Dale Ball and husband, Spencer; son, Bubba Grigg and wife, Patty; seven grandchildren, Hillary, Christin, and Megan Guretsky, Tobey Allen, Crystal, Taylor and Carley Grigg; great-granddaughter, Logan Allen; sister, Margaret Grigg; special cousin, Edna Kroll; numerous other extended family and friends. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday June 17, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
