Thomas Everett Beasley

SGT (Ret.) Thomas Everett Beasley, 84 of Hopewell, passed away on Monday January 19, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Moses and Ida Harnish Beasley; wife, Elfriede Beasley; brother, Raymond Beasley; sisters, Vadena Fisher, Myrtle Hull, Marian Freeman. Thomas served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, and retired after 23 years of service. He is survived by his children, Peter Walser and his wife, Cherrie, Joyce Tway, Lenda Dart, Katharina Ellis, Thomas Beasley, James Beasley, John Beasley, Mary Williams and her husband, Stephen; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Wilma Hart; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday January 24, 2015 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Interment will be private.
