Tammy Helms

Tammy Helms, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on July 31, 2026. She was born and raised in China Grove, North Carolina.

Tammy is preceded in death by her parents, Everette and Ruby Wagoner; son, Randy Helms; daughter, Sandra Rena Mitchell; and brothers, Tommy Wagoner and Jim Wagoner.

Left to cherish her memories include her husband of 66 years, James Helms; daughters, Sherry Helms and Kathy Kinsey; granddaughter, Roxanne Bennett; great-granddaughters, Cadence and Kelsey; great-grandson, Derek; grandson, Nicholas Mitchell (Jennifer); grandson, Jamie Helms (Mallory); son-in-law Walter Mitchell; and grandchild, Elizabeth Harrell.

Tammy found joy in spending quality time with family, listening to Conway Twitty, shopping, and traveling to the mountains.

Tammy was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

All services will be private. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
