Susan Kay Mintz-Brooks

Mintz-Brooks, Susan Kay died suddenly on 27 January 2026, twenty-two days after her 65th birthday, 5 January 1961. Besides her husband, Wallace "Bubba" Brooks, survivors include her two sons, Chris and Mitch Brooks, of Chesterfield County; two brothers, Charles David (Kathy) and Michael Ray (Lora) Mintz, of Chesterfield County; and a sister, Sarah Elizabeth Rehling (Samuel Joseph), of Highland County, Maryland; two nieces, Rachal Rehling and Mrs. Morgan Flannery, of (Princeton); and a nephew, Logan Mintz, of Seattle, WA. In October 2025, she retired from her job with Chesterfield County, IST department with over 20 years service. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1984 with an Information Systems degree. Susan and Wallace Brooks were married on 26 July 1997 at the old Chesterfield County Courthouse. Susan had an artistic flair, active in sewing, crochet, and stain glass. All services will be private. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
