Stewart Lee Cole

Stewart Lee Cole, 88, of Chester, VA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Born in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late Robert and Ella Cole; and was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Cole "Bubba"; and his son-in-law, Paul Edwards. Mr. Cole enjoyed woodworking, gardening, landscaping, was an avid fisherman and one of his greatest joys was spending time with his family. He will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted husband, father, and PaPa. Mr. Cole is survived by his wife of 67 years, Isabel Cole; four children, Garry Cole and wife, Sharon, Darryl Cole, Stacy Edwards, and Keenan Cole; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Cole and wife, Rhea and Johnny Cole and wife, Virginia; one sister, Patricia Cecil and husband, Bill; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the funeral home.
