Sr. E. Vaughan

Gordon Earl Vaughan, Sr., 85, of Claremont, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at his residence. He was the son of the late Leonard E. and Marjorie F. Buttler Vaughan. He is survived by his wife Loraine Moody Vaughan; son, Earl Vaughan, Jr. (Irma); two daughters, Linda Conner (Roger) and Jacqueline Crewey; son, E.C. Vaughan (Wendy); nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister, Ellen Benfield; two brothers, Douglas Vaughan and Bobby Gene Vaughan; host of other beloved family members. He was a member of VFW Post # 622 since 1948. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park.
