Sr,. Albert Atwater

Robert Albert Atwater, Sr., 69, of Prince George, died Friday, February 25, 2011, at his residence. Mr. Atwater, a building contractor in the Tri-City area, was an avid fisherman and hunter and a former member of the Union Hunt Club in Surry County. He was a graduate of Prince George High School and an outstanding athlete and letterman in all four sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Charles and Mable Collier Atwater and his wife, Brenda Atwater. He is survived by a son, Robert Albert Atwater, Jr. & his wife, Charlotte, of Cumberland, VA; grandchildren Kyle Henry Atwater and Robert Albert Atwater III; three step-grandchildren; sisters Jeannette Atwater Hudson & husband, Jerry L. of Prince George, Jean Atwater Temple of Hopewell, Agnes E. Atwater of Prince George and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T.
