In Loving Memory of Skottie

January 9, 2026 – June 19, 2026

With hearts broken beyond words, we announce the passing of our precious baby boy, Skottie, who passed away on June 19, 2026, at just five months old.

Although his time with us was far too short, Skottie filled every day with love, laughter, and light. He was a truly happy baby whose beautiful smile could brighten anyone's day. He loved to smile, laugh, and giggle, and he seemed to be "just happy to be here," a pure and gentle joy that touched everyone around him.

Skottie was the deeply loved and cherished son of Sarina Aldrich.

He is lovingly remembered by his grandparents Sara Moore, Michael Wolfe, Shane Aldrich, Victoria Aldrich, Richard Nunnally, Kristin Elmore, and Carol Travis (Rick), all of whom will forever hold him in their hearts. He is also lovingly remembered by his great-grandparents Raymond and Margie Nunnally; Charles and Mary Moore; Theresa and Ed Lane; and Larry Travis, who will forever cherish his memory.

Skottie is also deeply loved by his extended family, including his aunts and uncles Shane, Fallon, Addie, Payton, Zayden, Irelynn, Ricky, and Mikayla, as well as his cousins Maddie, Matthew, and Mollie, along with many other cousins, aunts, uncles, and loved ones who were blessed to know him during his short time here.

Though we will never understand why our time with him was cut so short, we are grateful for every smile, every giggle, every cuddle, and every precious moment we were blessed to share. His life, though brief, was filled with love, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of his family forever.

Our beloved Skottie passed away due to injuries caused by shaken baby syndrome. We share this heartbreaking truth in the hope that greater awareness may help prevent another family from experiencing such an unimaginable loss.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our sweet baby boy.

A visitation will be held for Skottie on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
