Sidney Cooper Gupton II

Sidney "Sid" Cooper Gupton II, 53, of Dinwiddie, VA, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He was the son of the late Franklin and Jannette Gupton; and was also preceded in death by his step-father, Morris "Booty" Gupton. Sid faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He had a great sense of humor and was always looking to make someone laugh. Sid had tough skin and a very soft heart. He will be remembered by his family as a hardworking and devoted father, papaw, brother, and friend. Sid is survived by his three children, Maranda "Alexis Stinky Butt" Gupton (Jason Gay), Sidney Cooper Gupton III (Crystal Douglas), and Wade Reese; three grandchildren, Sariyah, Alexis, and Matilda; devoted friend, Theresa Roark; four siblings, Franklin "Frankie" Delano Gupton, Jr. (Debra), Lorie Gupton Vaughan (Charles "Charlie Buck"), Timothy "Timmy" Wayne Gupton (Grace), and Jonan Gupton Elder (Robert Sr.); and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. The family is being served by the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
