Shirley Rose Horton

Shirley Rose Horton, 71, of Hopewell, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Howard Shackelford and Clara Blackmon Shackelford. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Shackelford and nephew, Junie Shackelford. Shirley is survived by her sons, Leslie Horton, Jr., Michael Horton and Steven Horton and his wife, Christy; grandchildren, William, Garrett, Amber, Jakob and Kaylee Rose; brothers, Buddy Shackelford and Richard Shackelford; sisters, Evelyn Hester, Louise Travitz , Rachel Adams and Ruby Ross; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2013
