Sherian "Sherry" Thore Beasley, 73, passed away on May 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, who were the center of her life and greatest joy.
Sherry was a devoted wife to her husband, Emmett Loy Beasley, and together they built a loving family rooted in faith, hard work, and care for others.
She is survived by her husband, Emmett Loy Beasley; her daughter, Nikki Beasley Campbell; her son, Eric Loy Beasley; and her beloved grandchildren, Casey Shayne Campbell, Dylan Hunter Campbell, Hailey Skye Beasley, Landon Loy Beasley, and the cherished memory of her grandson, Chance Christian Beasley. She was especially proud to welcome her great-grandson, Rowan Gabriel Rathmann, son of Casey Shayne Campbell and Alexander Rathmann.
She is also survived by her sister, Pat Auton and husband, Bill Auton; her brother, Kirk Thore and wife, Kyle Thore; along with many extended family members, friends, and members of her church family who will miss her dearly.
During her high school years, Sherry was active in VICA and later attended Smithdeal-Massey Business College. Throughout her life she dedicated herself to serving others. She worked for the Commonwealth of Virginia, later became a preschool teacher where she helped nurture and guide young children, and eventually worked at Ukrop's, where she was known for her kindness and strong work ethic.
Sherry's greatest passions were her family, her faith, and her church. She found joy in sewing and creating things with her hands, often expressing her love through the care she put into every stitch. Whether caring for her family, serving her church, teaching children, or helping others, she lived a life marked by generosity, devotion, and quiet strength.
Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the faith she carried, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness and love.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sherry's life on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
