Sarah "Kitty" Seymour Hatcher

After a brief illness, Sarah "Kitty" Seymour Hatcher, 84, went to be with her Lord on February 03, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Davis Hatcher; her mother, Rebecca Seymour; her sister, Georgia McKelvey and husband James; her brother, Dennis "Bob" Seymour; and her son, Anthony Keith Hatcher.

She is survived by her eldest son, Dennis Hatcher (Kim), of Kinston; her estranged daughter, Angela Hussain; her brother, Kelley Seymour, of Atlantic Beach, NC; Sister-in-law, Carol Seymour, of Morehead City, NC; her grandchildren, Bobby Hatcher, Chris Hatcher (Jennie), William A. Hatcher, Christopher Thompson, Sarah Webster (Carleton) and Kristinia Miller; her great grandchildren, Alyssa, Jensen, Collins, Elijah, Zayne, and Kash; and by her nieces, Rebecca McKelvey, Wendy Prior (Eric), Sherry Hull (Ed), Kelley Toler (Doug), and Michelle Gillman (Daniel).

Also left to cherish her memory are her dear friends, Sherry and Erik Styve, Lexi Strickland (David), Peachy and Chris Johnson, Victor Fields, Wayne Crocker, and all her wonderful church family at Saint Paul's Protestant Episcopal Church in Petersburg, VA.

At her request, an Evensong Service was held at Saint Paul's Church on April 25, 2026.

A private committal service will be held at Rainbow Cemetery, near Snow Hill, North Carolina on June 13, 2026.
