Sarah Ellen Sweet Brooks

Sarah Ellen Sweet Brooks, 86, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013. She was born October 27, 1927, in Richmond, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Everett A. Sweet and Bernice A. Gary, and her late step-mother, Pearle D. Sweet. Sarah was a graduate of John Marshal High School, attended Bethia United Methodist Church, and retired employee of the city of Richmond. Sarah was devoted to God, loved her home, family and friends, and especially enjoyed retirement and traveling with her late husband Leslie Earle Brooks. She is also preceded in death by son, Jerry Williams. She is survived by son, Michael Dale Williams; step-son, Bruce Brooks and his wife, Gina; step-daughter, Pamela Matheny and her husband, George; two step-grandsons, Samuel Matheny and Joshua Brooksaunders. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Sunset Memorial Park, Chester Virginia. The family expresses their appreciation to the loving assisted living staff of The Lynmoore and nurses and staff of Asera Care for their devoted attention and care for Sarah in her final days to eternal life.
