Santina "Tina" Dispirito Moody

Santina “Tina” Dispirito Moody, 96, of Hopewell, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Born in Utica, New York, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria DiMeo Dispirito. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Moody; brother, Sam Dispirito; sisters, Kay O’Dell, and Florence Dispirito. Tina moved to Hopewell around 1950 and has been a residence ever since. She worked at S & N Supermarket in Hopewell and was a longtime member of West Hopewell Presbyterian Church, where she was the secretary for her Sunday School class. Tina enjoyed reading, gardening, and sending cards to her church family for all occasions. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Camille Barrett and her husband, Ed, Cathy Harris and her husband, Donnie, Dicky Moody and his wife, Robin; grandchildren, Mark, Michelle, Rick, Jason, Tina, Chris, Michael, Jaysen, Tara, Rachael, Bubba; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Dispirito and his wife, Shirley, Jay Dispirito and his wife, Barbara; sister, Lena Carzo and her husband, Rocky; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2014, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery.
