Sandra Woodfin Dunnavant

Sandra Woodfin Dunnavant, 85, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026. She enjoyed camping, boating, and swinging on her porch swing. She loved walking on beaches, collecting seashells, and had a passion for gardening and tending to her flower beds. She had great affection for animals, always making sure the bird feeders were full, especially during bad weather. She could always be found humming a tune during activities and loved her desserts. She enjoyed shopping throughout the year, mostly for family gifts, and was lovingly referred to as Mrs. Claus.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lionel Montgomery Woodfin, Sr.; her mother, Rebecca Verlander Woodfin; and her brother, Lionel Montgomery Woodfin, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Lional Winfrey Dunnavant and Keith William Dunnavant and wife, Inge; her granddaughter, Haley Amanda Dunnavant; niece, Rebecca Woodfin Lee and husband, Jimmy, and their children, Brooke and Jordan; nephew, Christopher Montgomery Woodfin and wife, Gina, and their children, Adam and Hunter.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday February 23, 2026, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Ryan Colpitts officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W Hundred Rd Chester, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
