Saisamorn "Tu" Parker

January 8, 1938 — June 9, 2026

Saisamorn "Tu" Parker, age 88, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Saisamorn was born on January 8, 1938, in Prachin Buri Province, Thailand. She carried her warmth, generosity, and deep love for others throughout her life. In December 1972, she married the love of her life, Kenneth D. Parker, Jr., with whom she shared many joyful years until his passing in September 2020.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose life revolved around caring for those she loved. Saisamorn worked as a talented seamstress until her grandchildren were born. At that point, she made the selfless decision to leave her work and dedicate herself fully to helping raise them—something she did with boundless love and joy. There was truly nothing she wouldn't do for her family.

Saisamorn is survived by her daughters, Kanitha (Jim) Seguin and Mary (Todd) Lavalley; and grandchildren, Kaylin and Lauren Stoyle, Megan Lavalley Sharpe, Madison Lavalley, Matthew Reid, and Josiah Seguin, all of whom brought her immense happiness and pride. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 48 years, Kenneth D. Parker, Jr., and her daughter, Frieda Parker Settles.

She found great joy in cooking and feeding others, especially preparing her favorite Thai dishes. Her spring rolls and Thai meat salads were especially loved by family and friends. No one ever entered or left her home without being offered a plate of food. Her generosity extended beyond her family, as even the neighborhood cat knew it would never go hungry. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her husband and friends on occasional outings. She also had a natural talent for gardening and took great pride in nurturing her plants whenever she was able.

Saisamorn will be remembered as an incredibly giving, caring, and kind-hearted woman who made everyone feel welcomed and loved. She had a unique gift for bringing smiles to those around her and creating a home filled with warmth, comfort, and compassion.

Her legacy of love, selflessness, and devotion will live on in her family and in all those fortunate enough to have known her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son.
