Rudolph Morgan

October 2, 1951 — July 1, 2025

Rudolph "Glen" Morgan, 73, of Chesterfield County, passed away suddenly on July 1, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Alice Morgan, loving parents who encouraged a passion for learning, responsibility, and the development of a strong work ethic from an early age. Glen's upbringing fostered a steadfast belief in education, perseverance, and the value of honest work.

Glen was a loving and dedicated family member. He is survived by his adoring wife of 51 years, Sandi; and their loving son, Mathew. They spent time together at "The Bay House" where they all found peace and a renewal of spirit on the water. While there, Glen enjoyed kayaking, gardening, or just sitting on the front porch or dock, enjoying the view. He also loved traveling with his family and friends, reading, hiking, and biking.

A graduate of Thomas Dale High School, Class of 1970, Glen continued his education at Randolph Macon College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1974. He recognized that law was both a calling and a tool for social change and subsequently received his Juris Doctor from the T.C Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 1983.

Prior to attending law school, Glen spent five years as a social studies teacher and coach at Clover Hill High School. His students loved and respected him because of his ability to care for the whole person, not just what the student was learning.

Throughout his distinguished career, Glen was regarded as a highly respected attorney within the community and demonstrated a profound commitment to his profession. Clients, colleagues, family, and friends remember him as an honest and dedicated advocate, mentor, and trusted friend. His professional journey was defined by his integrity, compassion, dedication to his clients, and a deep commitment to justice.

As a devoted alum of Randolph Macon College, he was a member of the Yellow Jacket Club. Glen actively supported the football program as well as both men's and women's basketball teams, attending many games to cheer on the Yellow Jackets. His law office was filled with memorabilia that showed his dedication and love of RMC. One of Glen's favorite weekly outings was dinner with "The Tuesday Night Group." For years a group of RMC Phi Kaps, their spouses, and one or two select friends, would meet at Angelo's in Midlothian for dinner. Many stories were told (more than once), many past football, basketball, or baseball games were replayed and analyzed, and many glasses of wine, along with Glen's favorite Jack Daniels, were shared around that table. They also shared Glen's favorite dessert: ice cream!

As a loyal friend, he was known for his approachable demeanor and readiness to offer empathy and support. His wisdom and generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew him; his humility and mischievous sense of humor remained evident throughout his lifetime. He was quick to call "bullsh*t" when he saw it! He was a "Piker" to the very end. Glen cherished all his dogs, but Daisy was his favorite companion. She was a fixture in his office for many years, welcoming clients and creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere.

Glen was deeply invested in serving his community, dedicating significant volunteer hours to many local causes and organizations, as well as mentoring aspiring legal professionals. Whether guiding new attorneys or new teachers, or supporting neighbors, he consistently approached every relationship with genuine sincerity and respect.

Though Glen's passing leaves a void for so many, his spirit endures in the causes he championed, the lives he touched, and the high standards he set. His academic excellence was matched only by his advocacy for others, a quality that would define his career and character for decades to come. In honoring Glen, we are reminded of the power of one person's integrity and dedication to inspire change and foster hope.

A service celebrating Glen's life and achievements will be held at a later date. The time and location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Randolph Macon Yellow Jacket Club, The University of Richmond School of Law, or a food bank or homeless shelter of your choice, continuing Glen's commitment to justice and service.
