Ruby Stewart Hargrave, 91, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. She was a member of the Rocky Hock Methodist Church. Mrs. Hargrave was the daughter of the late Shelton and Elsie Savedge Stewart and the wife of the late Jesse W. Hargrave.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Atkins; son, Willard Hargrave; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Shelton Stewart; and sister, Ruth Scarborough.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Rocky Hock United Methodist Church with Pastor Cliff Fritzinger officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Hock Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rocky Hock Methodist Church, c/o Mabel Johnson, 1629 Aberdeen Rd.,Wakefield, VA 23888. The Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home is serving the family and condolences may be posted at www.jtmorriss.com .
