Ruby Mae Good, 80, of Chester, passed away on September 24, 2025. She was born and raised in Hopewell, the daughter of Isaac and Annie Mae Powers. She is preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Annie Powers; husband, Harold; and ten brothers. She is survived by her four boys, Allen, Mike, Mark, and Matthew; and seven grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan, Katie, David, Anthony, Isabella, and Sophie.
Ruby was a devoted wife, mother, friend, and family member, always there to lend an ear and offer her time to anyone in need. Ruby and her husband, Harold, were married on July 6, 1974. In 1980, they moved to Chester where they built their home and a life full of love and cherished memories where they raised their four boys. Ruby and Harold shared nearly 33 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2007. Their time together included many treasured moments during their annual summer vacations at Myrtle Beach and time at their camper, where they enjoyed getting away to their little retreat in the woods, creating lasting memories and friendships.
Ruby was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Prince George, Virginia. She held her faith close to her heart. She absolutely loved crafting, especially painting ceramics. Her beautiful creations often became heartfelt gifts for holidays and special occasions. It truly filled her soul to share her talents with others.
