Roy Irvin Norwood

Roy Irvin Norwood, 80, of Petersburg, passed away on May 16, 2013. He was the son of the late Willie James and Louise Thomas Norwood; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Emma Norwood. Mr. Norwood was a retired baker from Continental Bakery after 30 plus years of service and was also an avid fisherman. He is survived by his sister, Mary E. Skelton; a brother, Walter P. Norwood and wife, Irene; five nieces; and three nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, with the Rev. Robert Livesay, officiating. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dinwiddie Animal Shelter.
