Roy Eugene Kestner, Sr., 74 and Patricia Ann Goble Kestner, 70.

It is with profound sorrow that the family of Roy Eugene Kestner, Sr. and Patricia "Patty" Ann Goble Kestner announce their passing, just two days apart. Lifelong partners in every sense, Roy passed on November 14, 2025 at 8:53 a.m., and Patty followed him on November 16, 2025 at 8:46 a.m. Their devotion to one another and to their family remained steadfast until the very end.

Residents of South Chesterfield, Virginia, Roy and Patty built a life filled with love, laughter, and deep family roots.

Roy was born in Abingdon, Virginia, and spent his career as a dedicated Furniture Repair Technician, well-known for his skillful hands and strong work ethic. An avid outdoorsman, Roy loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and classic cars. He was also a proud fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Jr.

Patty was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and worked in Food Service, where she was cherished for her laughter, kindness, and hardworking spirit. She enjoyed playing Bingo, taking trips to Orlando, and spending time with her growing family.

Together, Roy and Patty raised their family in Petersburg and Dinwiddie, Virginia, creating a home where everyone felt welcome.

They are survived by their loving families. Their shared children and grandchildren: sons, Chris (Allessa), of Dinwiddie, Virginia, and Jonathan (Heather), of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Chris "Peewee" (Taylor), Bryanna "Baby Girl", Nicholas "Pooh" (Jennifer), Tyson, Stella, Taylor Ann, and J'Kai; and great-grandchildren, Elijah, Kinsleigh "Chunk", Briggs, Braelynn, Temperance, Brooklyn, and Junior.

Roy's surviving siblings, Patricia, David, and Michael.

Patty's surviving siblings, Maria, Cindy, and Freddie.

Along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Hardis "Toots" and Estelle Kestner; and siblings, Bobby and Sandra.

Patty is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Emma Mae Goble.

They share in passing their beloved son, Roy Eugene Kestner, Jr.

A joint visitation and service to honor their lives will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Roy and Patty leave behind a legacy of love, resilience, and family unity. They will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
