Roger Owen Butler

Roger Owen Butler, 88, of Chesterfield, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025.

The son of the late James and Maria Butler; Roger was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Allene Butler; his brother, Horace "Esky" Butler; and his sister, Marjorie Colbert.

Roger is survived by his three sons, Darrell Butler (Katherine), Owen Butler (Deanna), and Curtis Butler (Pat); seven grandchildren, Amy (Brandon), Heather, Paul (Addie), Angel (Scott), Timothy (Genevieve), Bryon (Mandy), and C.J. (Amanda); sixteen great-grandchildren, Aiden, Macie, Ashton, Kayleigh, Morgan, Brittlyn, Dawson, Kai, Brenton, Wrenley, Ian, Kate, Mason, Jacob (MiKayla), Riley, and Wyatt; one brother, Melvin Butler (Carolyn); one sister, Brenda Ruckart (John); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Park.
