Robert John Zoldork

Robert John Zoldork, born on October 6, 1951, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on October 26, 2024. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and valued member of the Dominion Energy family at Surry Nuclear Power Station for 36 years. Robert's legacy of dedication, warmth, and friendship will be cherished by those who knew him.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Valerie Zoldork, and their children, Rachel Zoldork, Natalie Zoldork, and Anthony Zoldork. He is also survived by his two sons, Christopher Zoldork, with his significant other, Brandi Watson, and Jamie Zoldork, all of whom carry forward his legacy.

In addition to his immediate family, Robert is lovingly remembered by his mother, Frieda S. Zoldork; his brothers, John Zoldork, along with his significant other, Joanna Bousquet, and Alan Zoldork and his wife, Patricia Zoldork; his sister, Diana Bryan, and her significant other, Jim Walker; as well as his mother- and father-in-law, John and Gilberte Hyde; and brother-in-law, Philip Hyde, and his wife, Gina. He shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews and their spouses: Alex Bryan, Katherine Lipscomb, Austin Zoldork, Ryan Zoldork, Allison Zoldork, Adam Zoldork, Margaret Hyde, and Emma Hyde.

Robert's grandchildren, Dade Zoldork, Zayne Zoldork, Nicholas Zoldork, Nathan Zoldork, and Kayla Zoldork, carry forward his memory with love, as do the many friends and colleagues impacted by his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, John G. Zoldork, and his grandson, Sebastian Zoldork.

Robert will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and strength of character. His family and friends are invited to celebrate his life, cherishing the memories he leaves behind and honoring the example he set. A celebration of life will be announced in the coming weeks. He will be deeply missed.
