Robert Porter Barden

Robert Porter Barden, 63, of Chesterfield, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Born in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late Clarence Eugene and Marlene Porter Barden. He retired after 32 years of service with Dominion Power and was a faithful member of Kingsland Baptist Church. Mr. Barden is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jacqueline P. Barden; son, Gene Raymond; sister, Teresa Barden; brother, Clarence Barden, III; two aunts, Daisy Barden Garbett and Mamie Whitcomb Brooks; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
