Richard Gaston Lewis

Richard “Peco” Gaston Lewis, 70, of Hopewell, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Born in Hopewell, he was the son of the late Reuben Lewis and Ruby Thompson Lewis and was preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Newsome. Richard was a member of AFL-CIO Sheet Metal Workers Local 100 for over 50 years. A longtime member of the Hopewell Moose Lodge and a member of the VFW Post #637 Auxillary, Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Jeannie; son, Stephen M. Emerson and his wife, Sloan; grandchildren, Ryan, Rachel, and Ricky; brother, Reuben Lewis and his wife, Linda. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Interment will be private.
