Richard â??Dickâ? Allen, 73, a real estate broker and appraiser of Chester, VA, departed this life on September 4, 2008. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Joan Dunnavant Allen; his proud children, daughter Celeste Elaine Hale; son, David Meade Allen; son-in-law, Roger Hale; sisters, Celeste Reidelbach and Marjorie Lee; his devoted friend, Judy Thomas; as well as many other family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on West Hundred Road in Chester on Sunday, September 7, 2008 from 5 to 8 pm Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 8 at 11 am at Sunset Memorial Park.
