Peter Allen Rosenkrans, of Chester, Virginia, passed away on December 17, 2024. He was born on December 16, 1954, and raised in Seneca Falls, New York, to the late John & Margaret Rosenkrans; and was also preceded in death by his brother, Bob Rosenkrans; and nephew, Michael Rosenkrans.
Peter graduated from Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls, NY; and was awarded at the Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony honoring the 1970 Championship Football Team. He played defensive end, on a football scholarship from the University of Georgia. He worked at Goulds Pumps as a plant manager in Auburn, NY, before he and his family moved to Chester, VA, where he then owned his exterminator business for 27 years. He was also a proud coach for the basketball and football teams of C.C. Wells Elementary Recreational League. He enjoyed spending time in the Outer Banks, specifically Hatteras, where he took special interest in surf fishing and being able to drive on the beach.
Peter is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pamela Jean Rosenkrans; daughter, Stephanie Rosenkrans (Michael); son, Darrin Rosenkrans (Jackie); grandson, Fenway; brother, Eric Rosenkrans (Frances); sisters, Jane Rosenkrans and Ruth Rosenkrans Fry (Russell); sister-in-law, Holly Kaleniecki; and several nieces and nephews.
Honoring Peter's wishes, there will be no memorial service. A private interment is to be held at a later date to celebrate his life at the Rosenkrans family burial ground overlooking Cayuga Lake. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
