Patrick Joseph Sharp

Patrick Joseph Sharp, 73, of Hopewell, Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father and grandfather, and a loyal friend to many.

Patrick lived a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand and was often the first to show up when someone was in need. His kindness, generosity, and steady presence made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He found great joy in the outdoors and spent many happy hours hunting, fishing, and tending to his garden. Whether sharing stories, offering advice, or simply enjoying time together, Patrick created meaningful moments that his family will cherish forever.

A faithful member of Gill Grove Baptist Church in Chesterfield, Patrick's strong belief in God guided his life. His family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace in Heaven, reunited with those who went before him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Jean Sharp, and his brother, Tommy Sharp.

Patrick is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Terressa Sharp; his son, David Solesbee; his daughter, Gina Brydges and her husband, Joe Brydges; and his cherished grandchildren, Chase Solesbee, Caleb Solesbee, and Kaitlyn Brydges. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will continue to honor his memory.

Patrick's legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Bermuda Memorial Park, 1901 Bermuda Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23836.
