Patricia Alease Minor Gunter (Pat/Patsy), beloved wife of the late Charles Erin Gunter (Chuck), passed away at age 78 on September 22, 2024. Pat, as she was known to friends, was born to the late John and Bernice Minor, in Prince George, Virginia on January 29, 1946. An only and very studious child, she attended Prince George High School, was a member of the National Honor Society, a cheerleader, and majorette in the marching band. She graduated from James Madison University (nee Madison College) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. In 1968, she met Charles Gunter, who had been stationed at Ft. Lee, in Hopewell, Virginia. They were married. Their newlywed years in the San Francisco Bay area were followed by 38 years in Ellicott City, Maryland, before retiring in Dacula, Georgia in 2010 to be near children and grandchildren. She and Chuck enjoyed 52 beautiful years of marriage. Professionally Pat worked as a bank teller, branch manager, and trainer for many years in Ellicott City. Socially, she enjoyed doughnuts and coffee, playing bridge and bingo, and participating in church life at several parishes: Saint James in Hopewell Virginia, Resurrection in Ellicott City, Maryland, and Saint Alphonses Church in Woodstock Maryland.

She is survived by her children, and their spouses, Melinda and Martin Makowski (McDonough, GA), Jennifer and Brian King (Northborough, MA), and David and Jessica Gunter (Monroe, GA); and her much loved grandchildren, Zachary Gunter, Bella Gunter, Katie Gunter, Ethan Gunter, Chance Gunter, Adelaide King, Maxine King, Oliver King, and Julius King.

She is predeceased by her husband Charles Gunter, who passed away on August 9, 2020, as well as her parents John Henry Minor and Bernice Story Minor, paternal grandparents Edward and Mary Minor, maternal grandparents Nettie Fowler Skinner and Herbert, and Charles David Story.

It was Pat's long held wish to be home again in Prince George, Virginia.
