Patricia Allin, 89, of Prince George, VA, passed away on July 11, 2026. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Helen Dickson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Samuel John Allin II, and her brother, James Edwin Dickson.
Patricia was a dedicated educator in Prince George County. She taught physical education and driver's education at Prince George High School, where she also was the softball coach for fifteen years. After retirement, Patricia enjoyed exercising her artistic side with cross-stitching, quilting, and painting. She was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and old Western films and could always be found watching one or the other in her later years. She especially delighted in being a mother, "Gramma," and "GG" to her beloved family.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Beth Whirley (Richard Whirley, Jr.); granddaughters, Tiara Moran (Zack Moran) and Harley Whirley; and great-grandchildren, Aydin and Eliza.
A funeral service will be held at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral at 11:00am on Saturday, July 18, 2026, with interment at Southlawn Memorial Park to immediately follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the night prior from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, July 17, 2026.
