Ophelia Ann Hicks Daniels was born in Wake Forest, North Carolina, and lived a vibrant life full of good times, early morning coffee, and late night dancing. Her and all her siblings loved each other with a deep love. She had children who were married and their spouses became children of the heart. Her grandchildren have fond memories, good times spent, and she even passed on her legacy to great grandchildren! A whole slew of nieces and nephews and cousins with stories to laugh about for years to come.
90 years of loving, working, and serving. She was married, built a beautiful life, had amazing friends and a smile that lit up every room she walked into. After being widowed she found a sweet boyfriend who traveled her all around, having good times right to the very end.
She was known as the "deer whisperer" as they would eat corn right out of her hand. And not just one or two, but the whole herd would come calling! Squirrels, raccoons, turkeys... all of them eating out of her hand and coming when she called. She loved to go fishing, but from the shore! She said hot pizza and cold beer go together. She probably owns stock in the Postal Service and the flower business because she loved sending cards, notes, and flowers to people.
A true redhead, a spitfire as they say, your passion for the best in life lives in us all. Seasoned with a swear word, of course.
You loved crafting, cross stitching, country music, & bluegrass, anything with a good beat for dancing. Your beloved pets Tina, Kitty and Lucky lived their best life because of you. A good fish fry and some lucky lottery tickets is how we'll remember you.
A fantastic cook who kept us all well fed, and ice cream cones for the children!
