Norman Joseph Crowder Sr.

Norman Joseph Crowder, Sr., affectionately known as “Poogy”, departed this life on Monday, September 28, 2015 at the age of 67, after a brief, but brave battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his beloved grandmother, whom he considered his mother, Izetta Crowder; and grandfather, Timothy Crowder. He is survived by his father, Norman W. Crowder; his 3 dedicated children, Norman Crowder, Jr., Michael Crowder, and Debra Hunter; and 13 grandchildren. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, stubborn streak, and his immense love of lights. His children would like to express a heartfelt thank you to their mother, the love of his life, Martha Barber, for her support, kindness, and love during his difficult final days. He will truly be missed. The family will receive friends at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Road, on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
