Noreen Fayne Rochelle's time with us ended on November 6, 2024. She was born in Reading, PA, but saw many states and places abroad. She will always be remembered for all she gave to ensure her children had the chances in life to find success. She was a Navy Veteran, Navy wife, homemaker, mother, and gave many years to being Cubmaster. As a grandmother, she often had grandchildren living with her to enable the parents to make a better life for said grandchildren.
Noreen was preceded in death by Frank LaPearl and Florence Hallman LaPearl (parents); and Albert Lee Rochelle Jr. (spouse). Her survivors are children, Carl Edward Vann II of Fort Worth, TX, Leslie Karen Sapp of Hopewell, VA, Robin Noreen Vann of Roanoke, VA, and Albert Lee Rochelle of Petersburg, VA. She had 6 grandchildren, Matthew Eric Boteler, Cristal Lee Vann, Christopher Glenn Vann, Crystal Dawn Sapp, Traci Lyn Callahan, and Gabrielle Vann Carden. She also had 9 great-grandchildren. In addition, she had 2 granddaughters-in-law, Jessica Lowe and Denise Campbell; and grandson-in-law, Reginald Long. There were many people that called her mom, as she was greatly loved.
To Noreen, family was everything. She took great joy in welcoming each new member to the family. She was an avid bowler, dedicated Cubmaster, creative painter/crafter, and well known for delicious fruitcakes (her own recipe). Her determination and strength helped her recover and thrive after losing 2/3 of a lung to cancer. She fought to maintain her health and clarity of mind to the very end. We will carry her with us forever.
