Nora Lee Childress Narron

Nora Lee Childress Narron, 82, of Hopewell, VA, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Born in Lynchburg, VA on May 31, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and "Ruby" Childress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mount Vernon Narron, Jr.; and four sisters, Irene, Belle, Ann, and Jane; grandchild, Sunny Conner; step-son, Sterling Narron; and step-granddaughter, Brittany Oakley.

Nora is survived by three sons, Keith Samples (Janice), of North Carolina, Sidney Dosier (Pam), of Kentucky, and Doug Dosier (Beverly), of South Carolina; and step son, Dewain Narron (Michelle), of Claremont.

As a grandmother, Nora leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Known as "Lee", she leaves behind a brother-in-law, Sonny Evans, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Nora loved playing the piano and singing in the choir at Charity Baptist Church in Prince George. She leaves behind her loving church family and best friends.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 6, 2026, at Charity Baptist Church, 4716 Ruffin Road, Prince George, Virginia 23875. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Anne's Catholic Cemetery, 165 Virginia Avenue, Claremont, Virginia 23899.
