Nathaniel William Perdue, 83, of Chester passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Born in Petersburg, Virginia, he was the son of the late Nathaniel Grover and Gladys Jackson Perdue. Nathaniel was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. He was a Parole Officer for over 40 years having served 8 of those on the Virginia Parole Board and was a faithful member of Chester United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Jacquelin Perdue; daughter, Amy Perdue; son, Samuel Perdue; daughter, Lisa Anderson and her husband, Mike; grandchildren, Heath, Cecilia and Nathaniel Anderson; brother, James Albert Perdue; and sister, Ann Perdue Berry. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Chester United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be conducted immediately following at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bensley Bermuda Rescue Squad, P.O.
