Nancy Reed Phillips

Nancy Reed Phillips, 74 of Hopewell passed away on Monday October 7, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Eleanor Edick Reed; sister, Sally Reed Vary; Nancy worked as a Bookkeeper for 23 years in several different places which included St. James Catholic School, Kings Department Store, and Hopewell Convalescent Center. Nancy was a member of Sycamore United Methodist Church, and enjoyed cooking for her family, reading, traveling, going on vacation with the entire family especially the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Phillips; daughters, Cindy P. Hill and her husband Mark, Robin P. Pride and her husband Joe; son, Robert “Lee” Phillips; grandchildren, Shannon, Brandon, Emily, Ryan, Joey, Dustin; brother, James R. Reed and his wife Mary; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held 11am on Thursday October 10, 2013 at the funeral home.
